once more into the breach one last time

Final morning of plastering posters up before dawn on the Royal Mile is warm and pleasant as the sunshines behind me from Portobello.  The seagulls are over head and Arthur’s Seat is behind me.  There is an amazing surge of energy around this city for the fact this is a Sunday.  No lazy days in front of the TV with the great shows to see.  A bus full of tourists ship up on the High Street before breakfast.  Show tickets are clutched in expectant hands.  I hear talk of one lady wanting to see 22 shows in 3 days.  This is an incredible holiday to enjoy!  I look for my show name on her reel of tickets but the wind blows them and she moves too fast.  She takes a look at my poster I have stuck up.  It is hard to read her expression.  I think she can read my face, it says last show today!
