The steps on Broad Street, Oxford lead to what is now the History of Science Museum but originally housed the anatomists theatre. Items for dissection of freshly hung bodies are exhibited there. Hogarth prints document the reality of the dissecting table and holds up this final destination as something to feel terrified of.
