This sign regularly stands in the Old Schools Quad where the Divinity School is housed.  Divinity was the first subject taught at Oxford University and has been given the most prestigious building with stone vaults carved into the ceiling.  This magnificent building is where Mary was tried.  The Town Hall would have been used but it was being redecorated.
