looking down from her room in St George’s tower I wonder how much of life Mary saw.  From the faces she could recognise how much knowledge she could gain from the way people were interacting.  Maybe sitting in a condemned cell you are least concerned with the news of the world outside.  With so many spires making up the city scape she quite possibly could have been sitting staring at a view like this, of the spire of the old All Saint’s church (deconsecrated 1971 to become Lincoln College’s library)
