At the risk of losing the plot or at least sounding that way I am revealing how attached I have become to my props here. Above is the shot of my (ahem) stool that I use in the show as I carry it through London home. It sits under the arm perfectly and is more than handy for earning its weight back when visiting popular Summer time city parks full of tourists. I have my own seat. But it is only a loan. All props go back in the cupboard come September but by then the parks will be empty anyway. I will not need my own seat. Yep. Losing the plot indeed! But I am certainly becoming aware of just how much confidence the right prop gives to the hand of the actor as I barge along Oxford Street to the bus stop home in no time at all on a busy holiday weekend. Everyone deserves a good prop on their arm. More power to your elbow wherever it may take thee!
