Trooping home

Troops march forward down the Mall after a day of trooping the colours at horseguard’s parade above.  Lots of horse manure now left around the place and dusty hoof marks in the sand.  Scotland’s Captain Cranstoun was a Recruiting Officer for King George and would have attended such an event in the 1750’s and inspired bystanding men to follow the parade.  Cranstoun strikes me as a charismatic chap for the number of men he signed up to crush the Jacobites in Scotland.  We follow the parade to the bus stop ready to catch the coach home from Victoria.
