Rain dampens the sequins of heads full of fascinators this year at the races. The sky looks like a landscape of Turner’s, all mercurial and dynamic with just one or two colours swirling in the air. The Fringe carousel is turning too. As soon as I return to my emails I notice a bulletin full of early interviews with Edinburgh Show people. It’s great later on to watch the stars; both in the night sky and soon too up in Scotland with more shows than ever before bringing their magic to the Fringe.
