LOVE LOVE LOVE ‘Love, Love, Love’

It’s a boom!  Nearly time for the Oxford opening of a busting play about aspirations of the baby boomers.  This three act portrait is painted by local lad, Mike Bartlett.  Hailing from nearby Abingdon it’s great to watch Mr Bartlett having phenomenal success underneath the proscenium arches of London and beyond.  He is a vibrant modern playwright with soaring style and ‘Earthquakes in London’ packed them in at the National last year.  I had a blast swiveling on my bar stool watching the play eating my bar nuts as the Cottesloe was converted into a night club!  So Oxford waits for its first proper earthquake from the Bartlett pen with ‘Love Love Love’.   Mary would have learnt I think from the writers no nonsense approach of stripping back the layers of complex relationships.  It’s had great reviews across the nation and I’m sure we’re in for a treat.  I can’t wait to hear what he has to say about love myself.  Happening next week!
