like living in a box...

is how prison cell must have felt for the six weeks Mary enjoyed the comfort of the warden’s rooms.  This tiny home inside Oxford Castle must have been like a tiny doll’s house for Mary who brought her luxuries with her.  Including everything needed for a perfect cup of green tea.  The condemned cell must have been quite a come down.  Literally as it turns out it was a pit under ground.

The photo is from Berlin, the remains of the Emperor’s room of the Grand Hotel Explanade where Kaiser Wilhelm II ate his breakfast.  It reminds me of the luxury Mary would enjoy before it was all blown away as this hotel was by World War II bombs.  Before that Garbo, Chaplin and Dietrich partied here.
