no better place

The London plane trees up the widest road in Oxford - yup that’s it in the shot, St Giles - look bare at the best of the time.  But with the devastation across Japan it feels a blessing these trunks are stuck in the ground and everything is in order along this busy street.  Unbelievable that nature can rip up communities in just one day.  Feel blessed to be on solid dry land and the bark on the trees keep on peeling.  They were bred that way so they don’t absorb pollution.  A handy survival strategy in todays climate.
