Three days into the world’s third largest Arts Festival the blue skies on New Road are a moment away as we unload our bags of leaflets. There is a contortion act from Germany and a lady juggling with knives performing opposite the Pavilion. A marquee playing acoustic music leaks out abstract melodies occasionally. An impromptu jamming session starts under an arch when the rain beings to spot. A steady flow of fringe goers pass by a giant Kaleidoscope found in a bathing hut and amongst all this fun costumed actors offer slightly soggy leaflets. The rain swings back and fore like a pendulum.
