Going around the Gemalde - gallery for paintings looking for bits of character from images of people from other centuries to stick together to make Mary live - it strikes me it’s odd how people portray paradise through their paintings.  What their idea of perfection is seems odd now looking back three hundred years or so at their pictures.  Usually involves orchards, wild animals and always sunny skies.  I wonder how our depiction of hollywood perfection and glossy story lines will be viewed when folk of the future trawl our digital databases.
